Job summary

Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) is seeking a Benefits Services Manager to lead a team of service officers dedicated to helping veterans obtain DoD and VBA benefits. You will oversee daily operations, provide training, and ensure timely, accurate claims processing.

The role requires VA accreditation, leadership experience, and strong knowledge of benefits law, with a focus on advocacy, collaboration with VA, and public engagement.

Qualifications

• Five years of veterans benefits advocacy experience as a VA accredited service officer.
• Three years of leadership and/or management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• VA accreditation and ability to obtain ASIST within 1 year (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead a service officer team to identify and assist veterans with DoD and VA benefits claims.
• Serve as liaison between the VA and wounded service members, providing representation and advocacy.
• Manage caseloads and staff performance, training, and development.
• Represent WWP at public events and educate veterans about benefits.
• Oversee budgeting, reporting, and compliance with program requirements.
• Collaborate with VA staff and community organizations to support beneficiaries.
