Job summary

Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) seeks a Benefits Services Manager to lead a team of service officers, helping veterans obtain DoD and VBA benefits. You’ll oversee daily operations, training, budgeting, and collaboration with VA and community partners.

This role requires five years of veterans benefits advocacy, three years of leadership, and a Bachelor's degree. Strong knowledge of VA/DoD regulations, excellent communication, and the ability to manage remote staff are essential.

Qualifications

• Five years of veterans benefits advocacy experience as a VA accredited service officer.
• Three years of leadership/management experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage a service officer team to identify and assist veterans benefits claims.
• Lead the team as liaison between the VA and wounded service members.
• Oversee training, coaching, budgeting, and staff development.
• Represent WWP at public events and build partnerships with VA and community orgs.
• Ensure timeliness and success rates of benefit claims.
• Monitor performance data and report trends to leadership.
• Maintain VA accreditation training with leadership and training teams.
