Vocational Rehabilitation Specialists, Inc. (VRSI) is a leading service provider for the Homeless Veterans' Reintegration Program (HVRP).

The Employment Specialist will guide veterans from intake through eligibility, readiness, training, placement, and follow-up, coordinating with partners to ensure stable, livable wages. You will build relationships with local employers, provide job readiness training, and support veterans facing homelessness with comprehensive case management in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in social work, human services, counseling, or related field required or considered with relevant experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in workforce development, employment services, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Meet with veterans to learn skills, work history, interests, and barriers to employment.
• Develop personal employment plans with goals, steps, and timelines.
• Provide job readiness training and lead workshops.
• Offer one-on-one career counseling and follow up with veterans.
• Build relationships with employers to identify job opportunities and assist with applications.
