Job summary

Baker Tilly US LLP is seeking a Valuation Manager to join our growing Valuation practice in San Diego. This role will lead and manage valuation engagements, oversee financial and valuation analyses, and deliver high-quality advisory services to clients.

The Valuation Manager will also play an important role in developing team members, strengthening client relationships, supporting business development, and contributing to the continued growth and strategic direction of the practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field required; MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of valuation or related financial advisory experience.
• Strong understanding of fair value measurement principles and U.S. GAAP with ASC 820 experience.
• Experience with purchase price allocations, business enterprise valuations and impairment testing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain valuation concepts to clients and auditors.
• Ability to lead multiple engagements and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple valuation engagements from planning through completion with high-quality deliverables.
• Perform and oversee financial statement analysis, valuation analyses, and research.
• Conduct management interviews and site visits to understand client businesses.
• Apply valuation methodologies and industry benchmarks to identify key insights.
• Define engagement scope, manage resources and timelines, and ensure budget attainment.
• Ensure engagements comply with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as trusted advisor, delivering strategic valuation advice to clients.
• Provide leadership, coaching and mentorship to team members.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and client experience.
• Support business development, proposals, and market-facing activities.
• Collaborate across offices and service lines to expand capabilities.
