Job summary

Merck is seeking a Vaccine Customer Representative (VCR) to support health care providers, clinics, and health systems within a defined U.S. geography.

The role focuses on education, contract adherence, and improving immunization rates through data-driven insights and stakeholder engagement. The VCR will manage relationships with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and administrators, delivering information on vaccine portfolios, reimbursement, and program requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 0-3 years Sales experience
• OR Minimum of high school diploma with at least 4 years of relevant work experience such as professional sales, marketing, military, or healthcare/scientific field
• Demonstrated aptitude to excel in current or previous educational or professional roles
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Valid Driver's license

Responsibilities

• Engaging in balanced product sales presentations with Health Care Providers and Health Care Business Professionals to align customer needs and vaccine attributes with labeling and CDC/professional recommendations.
• Providing vaccine management updates to help customers improve patient health outcomes and contract performance.
• Providing customers with key insights through study of educational and marketplace info and attendance at workshops.
• Using analytical skills to engage customers in quarterly business reviews regarding vaccine contracts.
• Assisting customers with education to improve immunization rates through quality-based programs and tools like Vaccine IQ.
• Regularly monitoring business performance against objectives using company tools.
• Developing a territory-level business plan to improve immunization rates per company policies and ethics.
• Maintaining product knowledge and CDC immunization schedule knowledge for pediatric and adult vaccines.
• Acting as primary contact for select accounts, identifying business opportunities and informing stakeholders.
• Coordinating with customer team to outline strategy for interactions to enhance immunization rates.
