Job summary

Merck is seeking a Vaccine Customer Representative (VCR) to support health care providers with clinical information on vaccines and resources. The role focuses on reimbursement, contract adherence, and improving patient immunization rates within an assigned geography.

You will collaborate with VKCL, VMAL, RMD, and other teams to drive vaccine uptake. The VCR serves clinics, health departments, IDNs, and hospitals, engaging a variety of healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 0–3 years sales experience or High school diploma with 4+ years relevant work experience (sales, marketing, military, healthcare/scientific).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and within a team, with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Engage in balanced product sales presentations to health care providers and professionals.
• Provide vaccine management updates to improve patient health outcomes and contract performance.
• Keep up-to-date on company materials, vaccines, and marketplace knowledge through self-study and conferences.
• Lead quarterly business reviews with customers to maximize contract performance across the portfolio.
• Educate customers to improve immunization rates through quality-based programs and tools like Vaccine IQ.
• Monitor business performance against objectives using company tools.
• Develop territory-level plans to improve immunization rates within assigned customers.
• Maintain knowledge of the full vaccine portfolio and CDC immunization schedule.
