Job summary

Cadmus is seeking a UX Researcher to join one of our federal programs. You will conduct research, usability studies, and partner with cross-functional teams to reveal user needs across public and private sector projects.

You will synthesize insights, create artifacts, and present findings to stakeholders, helping product teams design intuitive, accessible experiences that meet user goals and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Anthropology, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of professional UX research experience.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust is required.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills with the ability to present actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Experience with diverse UX research tools, remote testing tools, and online collaboration tools.
• Demonstrated experience planning and executing end-to-end qualitative and quantitative user research (interviews, usability testing, surveys).
• Ability to select appropriate research methods based on project goals and constraints.
• Independent, process-minded, and able to manage multiple studies.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence decisions through evidence-based recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with design, engineers, product teams, clients, and stakeholders to define problems and drive user-centered decisions.
• Support strategic thinking grounded in client and user discovery and research.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews, market research, and competitive analysis to inform product direction.
• Collaborate in agile development across iterative discovery, design, and delivery cycles.
• Create research plans, personas, journey maps, and artifacts communicating user needs.
• Inform future-state user flows, information architecture, sitemaps, and wireframes.
• Plan and facilitate workshops with stakeholders and users.
• Apply research insights to inform product strategy and prioritize opportunities.
• Document research including notes, photos, audio, video, and reports.
• Contribute to best practices, templates, and processes for research deliverables.
