UX Researcher for Federal Programs

Job summary

Cadmus is seeking a UX Researcher to join one of our federal programs. You will conduct research, run usability studies, and synthesize insights to guide product decisions across commercial and federal projects.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, deliver oral and written presentations, and help the product team create intuitive, accessible experiences. This role requires strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to obtain a Public Trust.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Anthropology, HCI, Human Factors, Psychology, Sociology, or related field.
• 2+ years of professional UX research experience.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust is required. Excellent communication and storytelling, with the ability to synthesize research findings and present insights.
• Experience with diverse UX research tools, remote testing tools, and online collaboration tools.
• End-to-end qualitative and quantitative user research including interviews, usability testing, surveys.
• Ability to select appropriate research methods based on goals and constraints.
• Process minded, able to work independently and manage multiple studies.
• Strong interpersonal skills to influence decisions with evidence-based recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with design, engineers, product teams, clients, and stakeholders to define problems and drive user-centered decisions.
• Support strategic thinking grounded in discovery and research.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews, market research, and competitive analysis to inform product direction.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in iterative discovery, design, and delivery cycles.
• Create research plans, personas, journey maps, and other artifacts communicating user needs.
