Job summary

Cadmus is seeking a UX Researcher to join one of our federal programs. The role focuses on uncovering user needs through research, cross-functional collaboration, and usability studies across commercial and federal projects.

You’ll deliver findings, synthesize insights, and help the product team create intuitive, accessible experiences while presenting to stakeholders and guiding strategy. Eligible candidates must meet U.S. work eligibility requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Anthropology, HCI, Human Factors, Psychology, Sociology).
• 2+ years of professional UX research experience.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust is required and to present actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Experience with diverse UX research tools, remote testing tools, and online collaboration tools.
• Demonstrated experience planning and executing end-to-end qualitative and quantitative user research (interviews, usability testing, surveys, etc.).
• Ability to select appropriate research methods based on project goals, constraints, and questions.
• Process-oriented with the ability to work independently and manage multiple studies.
• Strong interpersonal skills to influence decisions through evidence-based recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Define problems and drive user-centered product decisions with cross-functional teams.
• Support deep strategic thinking grounded in client and user discovery and research.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews, market research, and competitive analysis to inform product direction.
• Collaborate in an agile environment through iterative discovery, design, and delivery cycles.
• Create research artifacts like plans, personas, and journey maps to communicate user needs.
• Inform future-state user flows, information architecture, sitemaps, and wireframes with research insights.
• Plan and facilitate workshops with stakeholders and users for problem definition and co-creation.
• Document research findings with notes, photos, audio/video, and reports.
• Contribute to best practices, templates, and process improvements for research deliverables.
