Job summary

Cadmus is seeking a UX Researcher to join one of our federal programs, conducting research and usability studies across commercial and government projects. You will synthesize insights, engage with stakeholders, and help teams make user-centered product decisions.

You’ll collaborate with design, engineering and product teams to define problems, deliver research artifacts, and inform strategy. A strong emphasis on communication, planning, and methodological rigor is essential.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Anthropology, HCI, Human Factors, Psychology, Sociology, or related field.
• 2+ years of professional UX research experience.
• Excellent communication and storytelling, with ability to present insights clearly.

Responsibilities

• Partner with design, engineers, product teams, clients and stakeholders to define problems and drive user-centered product decisions.
• Support deep strategic thinking grounded in client and user discovery and research.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews, market research, and competitive analysis to inform product direction.
• Work in an agile environment with cross-functional teams through discovery, design, and delivery cycles.
• Create research plans, personas, journey maps, and artifacts communicating user needs for direction.
• Inform future-state user flows, IA, sitemaps and wireframes with research insights.
• Plan and facilitate workshops with stakeholders and users for problem definition and co-creation.
• Apply research insights to inform product strategy and prioritize opportunities.
• Document research and testing with notes, photos, audio, video, and reports.
• Contribute to best practices, docs and process improvements for research deliverables.
