Picture yourself in an amazing work environment surrounded by a vibrant team that is not only there to challenge and support you, but also will inspire you every day! Leadership is transparent, flexibility is key, and autonomy is part of the job. At ORC, diversity matters, voices are heard, and leadership shows they care.

The selected candidate will work remotely from their home office in the U.S. Midwestern Region, with travel required. Per diem and mileage will be reimbursed based on project requirements.

Currently, we are not actively recruiting for this position. By applying, you express interest and consent to being contacted later regarding this opportunity. This does not guarantee employment.

This will be a project-specific assignment lasting approximately six months to one year.

What you will be doing:

As a Right of Way Agent, you will acquire easements for a large renewable energy project, supporting the Project Manager or project team. Responsibilities include preparing real estate documents, performing property research, and communicating with property owners for right of way acquisition. You will also perform administrative tasks such as preparing legal documents, reports, correspondence, attending meetings, data entry, and file management.

We are looking for someone who:
  • Manages deadlines and prioritizes effectively.
  • Has a responsible and organized work approach.
  • Is approachable and comfortable interacting with diverse individuals.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Is a problem solver with attention to detail and negotiation skills.
  • Works independently and as part of a team.
What we are offering:
  • Generous base pay
  • Health, dental, and vision benefits
  • 401K and disability coverage
  • Holidays and paid time off
  • Tuition reimbursement and professional training
  • Wellness support through Calm Membership
  • Recognition programs, growth opportunities, and a family-friendly atmosphere
  • Stable and steady work
Minimum Requirements:
  • At least one year of Right of Way acquisitions experience, including renewable acquisitions
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word) and Dropbox or equivalent
  • Smartphone (iOS or Android) to access ORC systems
  • Valid Driver's License

Relocation assistance is not provided.

ORC is a leading right-of-way acquisition firm involved in renewable energy projects, electric transmission, pipelines, fiber optics, and water infrastructure. We prioritize objective decision-making and prohibit conflicts of interest, including real estate sales during nonworking hours.

Physical requirements include proficiency in English, frequent computer use, and occasional outdoor travel to client sites, which may involve exposure to weather elements.
