Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary, seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with US Marine Corps customer needs. You will support MS applications engineering, demonstrate interoperability, and drive field tests across expeditionary environments.

You will travel up to 50%, collaborate with engineering and BD teams, and help shape product roadmaps based on Marine Corps feedback and field requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 2–5 years in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense tech
• Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months
• US Citizenship required due to government contracts
• Background check and drug test clearance mandatory

Responsibilities

• Analyze USMC priorities and map requirements to tactical radio solutions
• Plan and execute field trials, modernizations, and user evaluations
• Collaborate with BD to align technical needs with strategic priorities
• Develop technical demos for expeditionary and tactical edge networking
• Support RFI/RFP responses with technical input
• Conduct market research for partnerships and end-to-end network architectures
• Engage with MARCORSYCOM, MCWL, PEO Land Systems and naval centers
• Capture field feedback to influence product roadmap and progress tracking
• Travel up to 50% for tests and customer interactions
