Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary, seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with Marine Corps requirements. You will support field tests and demos, and collaborate with engineering and business teams across expeditionary and edge networking environments.

Travel up to 50% is required; remote work may be available depending on location. Strong collaboration and technical communication are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related C5ISR field with 2-5 years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense technology roles; OR High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant technical or defense experience.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in analyzing USMC operational priorities and map requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Support technical planning, network configuration, and live field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering to use testing data for validated architectures.
• Maintain alignment with Business Development for technical needs and priorities.
• Develop and present technical demos for expeditionary and edge networking needs.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses and market research for partnerships and integrations.
• Engage with MARCORSYSCOM, MCWL, PEO Land Systems, and naval warfare centers.
