Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary, seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with Marine Corps defense requirements. You will collaborate with engineering and business development to demonstrate field-ready StreamCaster solutions across diverse environments.

Ideal candidates bring 2–5 years in systems engineering or defense tech, familiarity with SDRs, TCP/IP, Linux, and scripting, and must hold or obtain SECRET clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense tech roles; OR High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years in relevant technical/defense experience.
• Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months of hire.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
• All employment contingent upon successful background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Assist in analyzing USMC operational priorities and map requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Support technical planning, network configuration, and live field trials.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering to leverage testing and benchmarking data.
• Maintain alignment with Business Development to support technical needs and strategic priorities.
• Present technical demonstrations tailored to expeditionary and tactical edge networking needs.
• Contribute technical input for RFI/RFP responses.
• Perform market research for integrations with industry partners.
