Job summary

Reworld Waste is seeking a Payroll Practitioner to manage US payroll for 700+ weekly employees across multiple states. You will ensure accurate, timely processing, maintain compliance with tax laws, and support managers and staff with responsive service.

Proficiency in Workday, UKG Dimensions, Excel and Word is required. The role offers strong benefits and aligns with a commitment to a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Payroll certification preferred (FPC/CPP).
• 3–5 years of US payroll experience.
• Strong knowledge of payroll/tax regulations and processes.
• Experience with wage attachments/garnishments.
• Union payrolls knowledge a plus.
• Analytical, organized, and detail-oriented.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Workday or similar HRIS/payroll systems.
• Proficient in Excel and Word; familiarity with UKG Dimensions.

Responsibilities

• Process US domestic multi-state payroll for 700+ weekly employees.
• Ensure compliance with tax regs and company policies.
• Process staffing transactions and mass uploads in Workday.
• Ensure timecards are compiled and approved for payroll.
• Research and respond to payroll/time & attendance inquiries.
• Adjust timecards and validate payroll runs.
• Set up rotations and pay policies; manage accruals.
• Coordinate with Benefits on leave pay accuracy.
• Provide employee support across locations.
• Manage garnishments and notices with agencies.
• Process stop payments, off-cycle payments, reimbursements.
• Maintain employee records; SOX compliance.
• Assist payroll team and HR on projects/audits.
• Back up Sr. PR Practitioner for weekly payroll reports.
