Alkegen seeks a Payroll Specialist to independently manage multi-state payroll processing across locations, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality. You will liaison with HR and external providers, handle special payroll runs, and maintain required tax reporting in Workday and UKG environments.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in payroll administration, strong Excel skills, and a proven ability to solve complex issues while meeting tight deadlines in a dynamic manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Experience processing payroll in multi-state environments.
• Proficient with Excel and data entry, ensuring accuracy.
• Knowledge of federal and multi-state payroll tax rules.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for one or more full cycles across multiple states.
• Transmit data from time and attendance into payroll systems and validate outputs.
• Prepare tax reports, voluntary deductions, and related accounting entries.
• Generate and verify payroll reports for Finance, HR and Benefits.
• Coordinate with HR and benefits to implement changes and new hires.
