Job summary

Devoted Health is seeking a payroll specialist to own end-to-end payroll processing in Workday and ensure multi-state tax compliance. You will handle payroll questions, timesheet approvals, and payroll reporting in collaboration with the finance and People teams.

You will set up state/local tax jurisdictions, manage garnishments, and support audits. A detail-oriented, customer-focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-cycle payroll processing experience including tax filings.
• Experience with multi-jurisdiction payroll and multi-state tax compliance.
• Experience with ADP SmartCompliance for tax filings and wage garnishments.
• Strong knowledge of US federal, state, and local withholding tax requirements.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll end-to-end in Workday and reconcile data with HR submissions.
• Serve as the payroll face for employee questions with strong customer service.
• Verify timesheets and approvals before processing.
• Maintain payroll data integrity and produce reports for audits.
• Set up new state/local tax jurisdictions for all entities.
• Administer garnishments in ADP SmartCompliance and follow up with authorities.
• Train offshore team members on payroll processes.
