Job summary

NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a driven Medical Assistant to support both front office and back-office clinical tasks in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You will assist providers with exams, take vitals, and perform patient care under supervision.

Responsibilities include medication administration, blood draws, urine collection, and basic lab duties, while maintaining EMR/EHR proficiency and delivering excellent customer service in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an approved Medical Assistant training program is required.
• Must be proficient with EMR/EHR systems and provide patient care in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist provider with exams and patient vitals.
• Administer medications per policy and provider direction.
• Perform blood draws and urine collections.
• Support front office with reception duties as needed.
• Conduct basic clinical procedures and wound care as required.
