Job summary

NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a proactive Medical Assistant to support both back-office patient care and front-office duties in a fast-paced clinic setting. You will assist providers with exams, vitals, and procedures, perform blood draws, collect specimens, and help maintain accurate EMR/EHR records.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, completes an approved MA training program or holds a national certification (CMA/AMT/CCMA).

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an approved MA training program is required.
• Alternative: unapproved MA program plus CMA/AMT/CCMA national certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist provider with exams and patient vitals under supervision.
• Administer medications per policy and provider direction.
• Perform phlebotomy/blood draws as directed.
• Collect urine samples for testing/drug screens.
• Support front office with reception duties as needed.
• Proficiently use EMR/EHR systems.
