Job summary

NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a proactive Medical Assistant to support clinical and front-office operations in a fast-paced Arizona clinic. You will assist providers with exams, manage vitals, administer medications, and handle specimens, while maintaining EMR/EHR documentation accuracy.

The position emphasizes teamwork, patient comfort, and safety protocols, with opportunities to contribute to quality care and efficient patient flow across the clinic.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED and completion of an approved MA training program.
• National certification options (CMA/CCMA/RMA) may be required or pursued after hire.
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist provider with exams, including taking vitals and supporting procedures.
• Administer medications per policy and supervise safety protocols.
• Perform blood draws and collect urine samples for testing as directed.
• Support front office duties as needed to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Maintain readiness of labs, accuracy of LIS data, and incident reporting.
• Document patient care and communication with the provider promptly.
