Job summary

NextCare urgent care seeks a dedicated Medical Assistant to support patient exams, vitals collection, medication administration, and specimen collection in a fast-paced clinic setting.

In this role you will assist providers, manage front desk duties when needed, and maintain accurate EMR/EHR documentation, ensuring smooth patient flow and high-quality care for our diverse patient population.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completed an approved Medical Assistant training program; or non-accredited program with CMA/CCMA/RMA certification.
• National Certification via CMA/CCMA/RMA exams required or acceptable path per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with exams and procedures, including taking vitals.
• Administer medications per policy and provider direction.
• Perform blood draws and urine collection for testing.
• Support front office duties including patient flow and discharge processing.
• Maintain EMR/EHR proficiency and safety protocols.
