Job summary

NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to join a fast-paced clinic environment, providing direct patient care and supporting providers with exams, vitals, and procedures. You will perform blood draws, specimen collection, and medication administration while maintaining EMR/EHR documentation and patient safety.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of an approved MA program or certified credentials (CMA/AMT/NHA).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an APPROVED Medical Assistant training program or relevant certification.
• Certifications CMA/AMT/NHA are acceptable if training is unapproved.

Responsibilities

• Assist provider with exams and patient vitals under supervision.
• Administer medications per policy and safety protocols.
• Perform blood draws and urine collection for testing.
• May perform splinting, casting, and wound care in urgent care settings.
• Support front office tasks as needed to ensure smooth clinic flow.
