Job summary

NextCare Buckeye is seeking a proactive Medical Assistant to support clinical and front office operations in a fast-paced urgent care setting. The selected candidate will assist providers with exams, manage specimen collection, and ensure smooth patient flow in a team-driven environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma and competent Medical Assistant training; certification may be required if training is non-accredited, with strong EMR/EHR skills and commitment to patient care and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Approved Medical Assistant training program preferred; if unaccredited, certification required.
• National Certification through CMA/AMT/CCMA may be required if training was unaccredited.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with exams, including vitals, under supervision.
• Administer medications per policy and safety protocols.
• Perform blood draws and urine collection for testing as directed.
• Support front office reception and manage patient flow and discharge paperwork.
• Proficient in EMR/EHR systems and adhere to lab/CLIA policies.
• Cross-train for front/back-office duties as needed.
