Job summary

Immediate Care Walk-In Management LLC is seeking a Medical Office Associate to greet patients, collect demographics, verify insurance, and manage billing processes with accuracy and empathy.

The MOA will handle insurance communications, co-pays, and scheduling, while delivering exceptional front-desk service in a fast-paced urgent care setting. Evening and weekend availability is required to support multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Medical billing/receptionist experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills; EPIC and Solv experience preferred.
• Detail oriented with excellent data entry.
• Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette.
• Ability to maintain professionalism in a fast-paced public environment.
• Must be BLS certified through the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet, register, instruct, and provide general assistance to patients.
• Obtain demographic and financial information and enter into computer system.
• Verify insurance eligibility and explain payment policies and billing/collection processes.
• Collect co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles, past due balances and balance cash drawer.
• Communicate with primary care providers, specialists and insurance carriers as needed.
• Answer telephone, take messages and return voicemails.
• Provide compassionate support to patients and caregivers during urgent medical needs.
• Be available to work evenings and weekends; travel to other sites and in inclement weather.
• Maintain all relevant certifications for the role.
• All other duties as assigned by Practice Operations Manager or Practice Administrator.
