Job summary

Baystate Health's Daly 6A ACE unit is seeking a full-time unit clerk to support patient and family centered care. You will coordinate admission/discharge processes, manage documentation, and assist nurses and physicians to keep the unit running smoothly.

Responsibilities include bed management, communications with other departments, charting in OA Gold and CIS, greeting patients, and supporting hospitalist teams. GED or HiSET and Basic Life Support certification are required.

Qualifications

• Previous clerical and customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• GED or HiSET (Required)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is preferred/required.

Responsibilities

• Bed management and admissions coordination with multiple departments.
• Maintain patient records and assist with charting and discharge documentation.
• Greet patients and families and assist staff with information as needed.
• Support hospitalist teams and coordinate communications across units.
• Ensure smooth unit operations and accurate data entry in clinical systems.
