Job summary

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, previous clerical and customer service experience, and proficiency in various computer applications. A GED or HiSET certificate is required.

Qualifications

• Previous clerical and customer service experience.
• Clerical and customer service experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Tracks and prioritizes bed assignments and communicates with relevant personnel.
• Utilizes various computer applications accurately.
• Assists with unit-specific projects and committee participation.
• Provides detailed report/handoff to next shift.
• Serves as a resource for Hospitalist and medical teams.
• Maintains patient charts and prepares records for discharge.
• Functions as a greeter for new patients and families.
• Maintains and charges supplies accurately.
• Knowledgeable of emergency procedures.
• Observes cardiac monitors and processes EKG strips.
• Demonstrates competency for one-to-one observation of patients.
