Job summary

WesBanco Bank Inc. seeks an experienced Unified Communications Engineer to design, install, support and upgrade Cisco UC infrastructure, ensuring performance, security, and uptime.

You will monitor UC systems daily, troubleshoot VoIP issues, optimize CUCM/CUC configurations, and collaborate with Telephony Providers and cross-functional teams.

This role requires strong documentation skills, compliance awareness, on-call eligibility, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; two years of hands-on Cisco UC support.
• 2+ years' hands-on UC experience with Cisco platforms preferred.
• Experience with CUCM/CUC and related Cisco collaboration tools.
• Industry certifications (CCNA/CCNP/DevNet) preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a point of contact on UC service issues and escalation.
• Perform daily monitoring checks on UC systems and endpoints to ensure uptime.
• Assist senior team members with optimization of platform configuration and design.
• Coordinate with telephony providers on service issues.
• Create and update Service Desk tickets for work performed.
• Provide daily status updates to senior staff as requested.
• Develop technical documentation, diagrams, and procedures.
