Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian / Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is seeking a part-time Ultrasound Technologist in Radiology to perform general ultrasound examinations and warmly greet patients, visitors, and staff. You will ensure patient comfort and accurate imaging in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities include selecting the appropriate transducer, adjusting equipment for diagnostic quality, and upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience performing ultrasound examinations and adjusting equipment.
• Ability to greet and assist patients, visitors, staff.
• Familiar with Doppler interrogation and abdomen/pelvis imaging.
• Certified in ARDMS and BCLS certification required.
• At least 3 years post-training ultrasound experience if in Diagnostic Imaging Center.

In this role, the registered Ultrasound Tech will perform ultrasound examinations. You'll have an exciting opportunity to warmly greet & welcomepatients/visitors/staff& assist in performing exams when necessary. Additional duties include to assess patient condition, select proper transducer and adjustment of equipment according to the needs required for proper diagnostic testing, & ensure adherence to safety standards. This role will ensure the continued effective operation and patient care services in key departments.

This is a part time position, providing General ultrasound services.

This is a part-time position, located at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist, working Saturday and Sunday from 12:00pm - 8:00pm.

Required Criteria:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Graduate from an accredited program in ultrasound technology
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS)
• BCLS from AHA
• Demonstrated experience in patient care with training in Ultrasound
• If working in the Diagnostic Imaging Center, must have at least 3 years of direct ultrasound experience post training in General Sonography (ie Abdominal, Pelvic, Small Part) and Doppler interrogation (ie upper abdomen, female and male reproductive system) experience

Salary Range:

$59.75-$70.65/Hourly
