Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian in Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technician for an overnight, part-time position on weekends. The RDMS-certified professional will perform ultrasound examinations, greet patients, and support imaging teams to ensure accurate, safe testing.

Responsibilities include selecting proper transducers, adjusting equipment for optimal images, assessing patient condition, and adhering to safety standards in the Diagnostic Imaging Center.

Qualifications

• AR DMS certification required with RDMS credential.
• BCLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Direct ultrasound experience in general sonography post-training.

In this role, the registered Ultrasound Tech will perform ultrasound examinations. You’ll have an exciting opportunity to warmly greet & welcome patients/visitors/staff & assist in performing exams when necessary. Additional duties include to assess patient condition, select proper transducer and adjustment of equipment according to the needs required for proper diagnostic testing, & ensure adherence to safety standards. This role will ensure the continued effective operation and patient care services in key departments. This is an Overnight position, providing General ultrasound services. This is a part-time position, located at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist, working Saturday and Sunday from 12:00am - 8:00am.

Required Criteria:

• High School Diploma or equivalent Graduate from an accredited program in ultrasound technology Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) BCLS from AHA Demonstrated experience in patient care with training in Ultrasound If working in the Diagnostic Imaging Center, must have at least 3 years of direct ultrasound experience post training in General Sonography (ie Abdominal, Pelvic, Small Part) and Doppler interrogation (ie upper abdomen, female and male reproductive system) experience

Salary Range: $59.75-$70.65/Hourly
