NewYork-Presbyterian is seeking a part-time Ultrasound Technologist for NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. The role focuses on performing general ultrasound examinations, greeting patients warmly, and assisting in tests while maintaining safety standards.

Qualified applicants will be ARDMS registered, with BCLS from AHA, and graduate from an accredited ultrasound program. Evening shifts on Saturdays and Sundays are required.

In this role, the registered Ultrasound Tech will perform ultrasound examinations. You'll have an exciting opportunity to warmly greet & welcome patients/visitors/staff & assist in performing exams when necessary. Additional duties include to assess patient condition, select proper transducer and adjustment of equipment according to the needs required for proper diagnostic testing, & ensure adherence to safety standards. This role will ensure the continued effective operation and patient care services in key departments.

This is a part time position, providing General ultrasound services.

This is a part-time position, located at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist, working Saturday and Sunday from 4:00pm - 12:00am.

Required Criteria

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Graduate from an accredited program in ultrasound technology
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS)
• BCLS from AHA
• Demonstrated experience in patient care with training in Ultrasound
• If working in the Diagnostic Imaging Center, must have at least 3 years of direct ultrasound experience post training in General Sonography (ie Abdominal, Pelvic, Small Part) and Doppler interrogation (ie upper abdomen, female and male reproductive system) experience
