Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian / Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is seeking an Ultrasound Tech for overnight weekend coverage. You will perform ultrasound examinations, greet patients, and assist in procedures while ensuring safety and compliance.

ARDMS credential and BCLS are required, with 3+ years’ general sonography experience preferred for imaging centers. The role is part-time, based at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist, with weekend shifts from 12:00am to 8:00am.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate from an accredited ultrasound program.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with ARDMS.
• BCLS from AHA.
• Demonstrated experience in patient care with training in Ultrasound.
• If working in the Diagnostic Imaging Center, must have at least 3 years of direct ultrasound experience post training in General Sonography and Doppler interrogation.

In this role, the registered Ultrasound Tech will perform ultrasound examinations. You’ll have an exciting opportunity to warmly greet & welcomepatients/visitors/staff& assist in performing exams when necessary. Additional duties include to assess patient condition, select proper transducer and adjustment of equipment according to the needs required for proper diagnostic testing, & ensure adherence to safety standards. This role will ensure the continued effective operation and patient care services in key departments.

This is an Overnight position, providing General ultrasound services.

This is a part-time position, located at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist, working Saturday and Sunday from 12:00am - 8:00am.

Required Criteria:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Graduate from an accredited program in ultrasound technology
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS)
• BCLS from AHA
• Demonstrated experience in patient care with training in Ultrasound
• If working in the Diagnostic Imaging Center, must have at least 3 years of direct ultrasound experience post training in General Sonography (ie Abdominal, Pelvic, Small Part) and Doppler interrogation (ie upper abdomen, female and male reproductive system) experience

Salary Range:

$59.75-$70.65/Hourly
