NewYork-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital seeks a Registered Ultrasound Tech to perform general ultrasound exams, greet patients, and assist in procedures. You will assess patient condition, select transducers, and adjust equipment to achieve accurate diagnostic tests while ensuring safety standards are met.

This role is part-time, with Saturday and Sunday 12:00pm–8:00pm on-site at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist.

Qualifications

• Must have ARDMS certification and BCLS (AHA).
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in ultrasound imaging and patient care preferred.

In this role, the registered Ultrasound Tech will perform ultrasound examinations. You'll have an exciting opportunity to warmly greet & welcome patients/visitors/staff & assist in performing exams when necessary. Additional duties include to assess patient condition, select proper transducer and adjustment of equipment according to the needs required for proper diagnostic testing, & ensure adherence to safety standards. This role will ensure the continued effective operation and patient care services in key departments. This is a part time position, providing General ultrasound services. This is a part-time position, located at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist, working Saturday and Sunday from 12:00pm - 8:00pm.

Required Criteria: High School Diploma or equivalent Graduate from an accredited program in ultrasound technology Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) BCLS from AHA Demonstrated experience in patient care with training in Ultrasound If working in the Diagnostic Imaging Center, must have at least 3 years of direct ultrasound experience post training in General Sonography (ie Abdominal, Pelvic, Small Part) and Doppler interrogation (ie upper abdomen, female and male reproductive system) experience
