The Georgia Department of Labor seeks a UI Appeals Manager to oversee hearings and dispositions of contested unemployment insurance cases. Located at 148 Andrew Young International Blvd NE, Atlanta, GA, the role directs staff, ensures compliance with laws and policies, and leads operational improvements.

Ideal candidates have supervisory experience, strong customer service, and excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in Word and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university required.
• Two (2) years in a managerial or supervisory role in the area of assignment or six (6) years in the area with three (3) years in a managerial or supervisory role.

Responsabilités

• Directs staff activities via subordinate supervisors to ensure program performance measures are met.
• Ensures compliance with federal and state laws, rules and regulations and department policies and procedures.
• Supervises, guides and/or provides instruction for the work assignments of subordinate staff.
• Manages a wide range of office administration duties, including access to confidential information.
• Recommends policies and develops and implements procedures in accordance with department policy.
• Creates, plans and monitors training of subordinate staff.
• Researches, investigates, and reports program data or issues.
• Drafts documents, reports, or presentations.
• Represents program or unit, provides information to internal and external customers.
