Maryland Department of Labor in Cumberland, MD seeks a UI Professional V-Supervisor (Internal Only) to oversee a unit that interviews unemployment insurance applicants, processes claims, and conducts fact-finding to determine eligibility. You will lead training, ensure accurate determinations, and collaborate with AJC staff to maintain program integrity.

The role requires extensive supervisory experience, strong customer service skills, and knowledge of the BEACON system.

Formación

• Eight years of experience in a public or private agency rendering and/or determining eligibility for a Human Service Program, or an insurance claims processing and fraud investigations program.
• Notes: Bachelor's degree plus four years of experience OR four years of experience plus graduate level education may substitute for the required general experience.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate, review, and lead a unit of UI Professionals/Associates in taking and processing claims and non-monetary determinations.
• Provide guidance, training, and feedback on policies to ensure goals are met and efficiency is maintained.
• Examine and review claims/determinations for accuracy to minimize improper payments and prevent fraud.
