Job summary

Thomas & Company is seeking an Unemployment Insurance Hearings Analyst to act as a subject matter expert on unemployment insurance laws, regulations, and appeal procedures. You will liaison with clients, state workforce agencies, and hearing representatives to support effective management of hearings and appeals.

In this role, you will provide consultation, guidance, and administrative support throughout the appeals process while ensuring compliance with state requirements and service level

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of unemployment insurance laws, regulations and appeals.
• 2+ years in UI, claims administration, hearings or appeals.
• Ability to interpret state-specific UI requirements.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and related systems.
• Experience using case management or claims systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME on unemployment insurance laws, regs, and appeals.
• Act as liaison between clients, state agencies, hearing reps, and teams.
• Provide guidance during hearings and appeals processes.
• Review notices, deadlines, and required actions with accuracy.
• Prepare and file appeals and coordinate hearing preparation calls.
• Document all activity in the Claims Management System.
