Job summary

Axon 911 is seeking a Unified Communications Integration Engineer to deploy the world's first Cloud-Based Emergency Real-Time Communication Platform. You will ensure interoperability of UC/VoIP services with a focus on security and high availability.

This hybrid role is based in Washington, DC, with four days in office per week and collaboration across Operations, R&D, and Product teams to deliver mission-critical public safety infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with VoIP architecture and open-source UC deployments.
• Experience with SIP, SDP, RTP, WebRTC and related troubleshooting.
• 3+ years deploying open-source VoIP solutions.
• 3+ years networking knowledge including OSI model.
• Linux environments and Bash scripting.
• Experience deploying on AWS cloud.

Responsibilities

• Working as part of a real-time communication team in Carbyne operation group to deliver a highly available 911 Infrastructure
• Configuring and troubleshooting Carbyne’s Novel Emergency Communication Platform
• Provide clients with customized communication solutions for Carbyne’s unified communications services
• Install, maintain, integrate, and contribute to PBX projects and UC solutions
• Create and maintain technical specs and solution documents
• Overall responsibility for onboarding new customers in alignment with customer requirements, and solution specifications using Carbyne’s best practices
• Providing technical support and training for the Operations team on 911 emergency communications systems
• Gaining a strong understanding of unified communications architecture, networking, and cloud computing
• Interact with a variety of internal stakeholders: Carbyne’s Operations, R&D, Sales, CTO Office, and Product Managers
