Job summary

Axon is seeking a Unified Communications Integration Engineer to join our Public Safety team in New York, NY. You will deploy and integrate a cloud-based 911 platform, ensuring high availability and strong security while interoperability with Carbyne systems.

You will work closely with Operations, R&D, Sales and Product teams to deliver reliable UC solutions, leverage AWS, and drive safe, effective emergency communications.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with VoIP architecture and UC deployments.
• Experience with SIP/SDP/RTP and WebRTC troubleshooting.
• 3+ years deploying open-source VoIP solutions.
• 3+ years networking; solid OSI model knowledge.
• Linux environments and bash scripting experience.
• Experience deploying on AWS public/private clouds.
• Nice-to-haves: CCIE/CCNP/CCNA Voice
• Nice-to-haves: Docker and Kubernetes
• Nice-to-haves: AWS infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highly available 911 infrastructure within Carbyne operations.
• Configure and troubleshoot Carbyne’s Emergency Communication Platform.
• Provide customized UC solutions for clients.
• Install, maintain, integrate PBX and UC solutions.
• Create and maintain technical specs and solution documents.
• Onboard new customers per requirements and specs.
• Provide technical support and training for Operations.
• Understand UC architecture, networking and cloud computing.
• Collaborate with Operations, R&D, Sales, CTO Office, and Product Managers.
