Job summary

Axon seeks a Unified Communications Integration Engineer to integrate and deploy a Cloud-Based Emergency Real-Time Communication platform. You’ll ensure high availability, security, and interoperability of VoIP/UC services, collaborating with Carbyne’s teams to meet stringent uptime requirements.

You will work in a hybrid setting with most tasks in office and on-call support for UC deployments, focusing on fast, reliable emergency communications systems.

Qualifications

• Experience with VoIP architecture and installing UC platforms (open-source).
• Understanding of SIP, SDP, RTP, WebRTC and codecs.
• 3+ years deploying open-source VoIP solutions.
• 3+ years networking knowledge and OSI model expertise.
• Solid Linux environment experience and bash scripting.
• Hands-on deployment on private and public clouds (AWS).

Responsibilities

• Working in real-time communications to deliver a highly available 911 infrastructure.
• Configure and troubleshoot Carbyne's UC platform.
• Provide clients with customized UC solutions.
• Install, maintain, and integrate PBX and UC projects.
• Create and maintain technical specs and solution documents.
• Lead onboarding of new customers per requirements and specs.
• Provide technical support and training for Operations on 911 systems.
• Develop understanding of UC architecture, networking and cloud computing.
• Collaborate with Operations, R&D, Sales, CTO, and Product Managers.
