Job summary

Motor Truck Equipment Co. seeks a Service Advisor to be the primary liaison between customers and the Service Department. You will document service needs, communicate estimates, and coordinate with technicians to keep work on schedule.

Candidates with prior medium/heavy duty truck service or automotive advisor experience are highly desirable; CDL is a plus. You will contribute to customer retention and service revenue in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Enthusiastic and positive demeanor even in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid computer skills to include Microsoft Office programs.
• Previous medium/heavy duty truck service advisor experience is highly desirable. CDL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with service customers to determine the nature of the mechanical problems.
• Secure agreement from customers before repairs; cover cost estimate and time for completion.
• Handle minor customer complaints and misunderstandings.
• Follow up progress of each repair order and inform customers of changes in estimate or time promised.
• Coordinate work assignments for service technicians.
