Job summary

XKIG is seeking a Climber in Fort Worth, TX to climb, prune, and remove trees while following safety directives. You will load/unload equipment, operate hand and gas-powered tools, and ensure tools are in good condition. The role includes storm-work as needed and requires travel.

Ideal candidates have prior vegetation management or related experience, a high school diploma, and ability to work at height under diverse conditions, with a commitment to safety and PPE use.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate knowledge of knots, ropes, and rigging devices used in tree trimming and removal.
• Must be able to climb and descend trees using rope and safety saddle; perform tree rescues.
• Must be willing to travel for storm restoration work and pass required checks.

Responsibilities

• Climb, prune, and remove trees according to Foreperson’s directives.
• Load and unload trucks with logs, brush, and debris; feed brush into brush chipper.
• Work from the ground using hand saws, pole saws, pruners, loppers and gas-powered chain saws.
• Inspect and ensure proper working condition of all tools and equipment.
• Enforce safe practices and protect workers and the public from hazards.
