Job summary

XKIG is seeking a Tree Climber in the United States to perform tree pruning and removal under the Foreperson's direction. You will climb with ropes and harnesses, load materials, and operate pruning tools in a safety-conscious environment.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, enforcing safe practices, and assisting with storm restoration duties as required, while maintaining awareness of electrical hazards and weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate knowledge of knots, ropes, and rigging for tree trimming and removal.
• Ability to climb and descend trees using rope and safety saddle.
• Knowledge of emergency rescue techniques and basic first aid.
• Familiarity with electrical hazards and safe operation near conductors.
• Comfort working at heights in varied weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Climb, prune, and remove trees following Foreperson directives.
• Load/unload trucks with logs and debris; feed brush into chipper.
• Inspect tools and maintain safety; enforce safe job practices.
• Perform storm restoration duties as needed.
• Work from ground with hand tools and gas-powered saws.
