Job summary

XKIG in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Tree Climber to prune, remove, and maintain trees according to Foreperson's instructions. This full-time role requires climbing and rigging skills, strict safety practices, and the ability to work at heights in varying weather.

You will load debris, inspect tools, and participate in storm restoration work as needed. A high school diploma and relevant climbing experience are preferred; travel may be required for out-of-town assignments.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate working knowledge of knots, ropes, and rigging devices used in tree trimming/removal.
• Must be able to climb/descend trees using rope and safety saddle.
• Must be able to administer emergency rescue techniques and first aid.
• Must understand electrical hazards and safe procedures near conductors and during aloft emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Climb, prune, and remove trees according to Foreperson's directives.
• Load and unload trucks with logs, brush, and debris; feed brush into chipper.
• Inspect and ensure proper working condition of all tools and equipment.
• Safeguard employees and public by enforcing safe practices and maintaining a clean work area.
• Perform duties for storm work as needed.
