Job summary

XKIG is seeking a skilled tree climber in Virginia to climb, prune, and remove trees, with emphasis on safety and efficient operations. A minimum of one year of climber experience is required; driver’s license preferred but not mandatory. This full-time role offers health, vision, and dental insurance, plus 401K enrollment.

Travel for storm work may be required. Responsibilities include applying proper knots and rigging, operating hand and gas-powered tools, and ensuring equipment safety.

Qualifications

• Experience as a climber in line clearance or similar field preferred.
• Must understand knots, ropes, and rigging devices used in tree trimming and removal.

Responsibilities

• Climb, prune, and remove trees per supervisor directives.
• Load/unload trucks and feed debris into chipper.
• Inspect tools and maintain safe work area.
• Follow safety practices and communicate with crew.
• Perform storm work duties as needed.
