Job summary

XKIG is seeking a climber in the United States (Tennessee) to climb, prune, and remove trees while adhering to safety rules and Foreperson directions. The role involves loading equipment, operating hand and gas-powered tools, and performing storm restoration tasks when required.

Applicants should have knowledge of knots/rigging, rope rescue, and be able to work at height under varied weather conditions; first aid/CPR certification is preferred and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of knots, ropes, and rigging used in tree trimming and removal.
• Climb and descend trees using rope and safety saddle with emergency rescue ability.
• First aid and CPR certification may be required; ability to operate in proximity to electrical hazards.

Responsibilities

• Climb, prune, and remove trees per Foreperson’s directives.
• Follow safety practices and enforce rules in the work area.
• Load/unload trucks with logs, brush, and debris; chipper feed.
• Operate hand saws, pole saws, pruners, loppers, and gas chain saws.
• Inspect tools/equipment and maintain safe working condition.
• Travel for storm restoration work as needed.
