Job summary

XKIG is seeking a Climber to join our vegetation management crew in the United States. The role involves climbing, pruning, and removing trees, loading gear, and feeding debris into a chipper under the Foreperson's direction.

Applicants should have experience with rope work, safe climbing, and emergency rescue procedures. This is a safety sensitive position requiring background checks and willingness to travel for storm restoration work.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of knots, ropes, and rigging devices used in tree trimming and removal.
• Climb and descend trees using rope and safety saddle.
• Emergency rescue techniques and basic first aid.
• Awareness of electrical hazards and procedures near conductors.
• Ability to work at heights in varying weather.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
• Willingness to travel for storm restoration work.

Responsibilities

• Climb, prune, and remove trees as directed by Foreperson.
• Load/unload logs, brush, and debris; feed into chipper.
• Operate from ground with hand tools and gas-powered saws.
• Inspect tools and equipment for safe operation.
• Maintain safe job practices and clean/ orderly work areas.
• Perform duties for storm restoration as needed.
