Job summary

BrightView is seeking a Tree Care Service Business Developer to manage the pipeline from prospecting to closing in regional territories. You will collaborate with operations, finance, marketing, and proposal administration to respond to bids and meet sales targets.

The role requires extensive B2B selling experience (3–5 years), industry certifications, and strong presentation and communication skills. Travel to client sites and a fast-paced, results-driven environment are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Appropriate Tree Care Industry certifications (TCIA or Certified Arborist).
• Extensive face-to-face (B2B) selling experience at mid-to-senior levels, 3–5 years.
• Experience in the service industry with commercial contract sales desirable.
• Experience managing multiple projects and able to multi-task in a large territory.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Experience with a CRM or SFA tool is beneficial.
• Proven track record of sales goal attainment in a longer selling cycle environment.
• Highly competitive, positive, and results-driven salesperson.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to build client-centric and solution/value-based proposals.
• Self-motivation and self-directed work ethic.
• Local knowledge and contacts in one or more market segments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sell and estimate Tree Care Services work in regional territories.
• Perform sales prospecting using consultative techniques to build relationships and pricing.
• Develop Tree Care programs and estimates for existing clients with account managers and branch leadership.
• Conduct heavy phone prospecting, sales presentations, and web demonstrations; negotiate contracts with minimal supervision.
• Network to expand new tree care services accounts in assigned markets.
• Log activity consistently in Salesforce and collaborate with internal teams to drive larger sales opportunities.
• Build and maintain trust-based relationships with key decision makers.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with urgency and proactive communication.
• Plan daily activities to hit benchmarks and close new business.
