Job summary

BrightView in Florida is seeking a Tree Care Service Business Developer to manage the sales pipeline from prospecting to closing. You will collaborate with operations, finance, marketing, and proposals to respond to bids and meet tree care sales targets.

The role requires 3–5 years of mid-to-senior level B2B selling, a Bachelor’s degree, and relevant Tree Care certifications. You will conduct heavy prospecting, deliver presentations, and build trust with decision makers while traveling to client

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• TCIA or Certified Arborist certifications.
• 3–5 years of extensive face-to-face (B2B) selling experience at mid-to-senior levels.
• Experience in the service industry with commercial contract sales desirable.
• Experience managing multiple projects and in a large territory.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Experience with a CRM or SFA tool is beneficial.
• Proven track record of sales goal attainment in a longer selling cycle.
• Highly competitive, positive, and results-driven salesperson.
• Excellent presentation skills and excellent oral/written communication.
• Self-motivation and self-directed.
• Local knowledge and contacts in one or more market segments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sell and estimate Tree Care Services work in regional territories.
• Perform sales prospecting using consultative techniques to build relationships, marketing, and pricing.
• Work with Account Managers and Branch Manager to develop Tree Care programs and estimates.
• Prepare and conduct heavy phone prospecting, sales presentations, and web demonstrations; handle negotiations.
• Network to increase penetration for new tree care accounts in assigned verticals.
• Achieve sales goals and work independently.
• Log activity consistently in Salesforce.
• Collaborate with internal resources to drive larger tree care sales.
• Build and maintain trust-based relationships with key decision makers.
• Operate in a fast-paced environment with urgency.
• Communicate proactively with decision makers and influencers.
• Plan daily activities, hit benchmarks, and close business.
