Job summary

BrightView Landscapes seeks a Tree Care Service Business Developer to manage the sales pipeline from prospecting to closing. You will collaborate with operations, finance, marketing, and proposal administration to respond to bids and meet sales targets for tree care services.

The role requires strong prospecting, relationship-building, and self-starting drive, with extensive field activity and travel in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required.
• TCIA or Certified Arborist certification preferred.
• 3-5 years ofExtensive face-to-face (B2B) selling experience at mid-to-senior levels.
• Experience in service industry with commercial contract sales desirable.
• Experience managing multiple projects in a large territory.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Experience with a CRM or SFA tool beneficial.
• Proven track record of sales goals in longer selling cycles.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Self-motivated and self-directed.
• Local knowledge and contacts in market segments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sell and estimate Tree Care Services work in regional territories.
• Prospect using consultative sales techniques to build relationships, marketing, and pricing.
• Coordinate with Account Managers and Branch Manager to develop Tree Care programs and estimates.
• Conduct heavy phone prospecting, sales presentations, and web demos; negotiate contracts with minimal supervision.
• Network to increase new tree care service accounts in targeted markets.
• Meet sales goals and work independently.
• Log activity in Salesforce consistently.
• Collaborate with internal resources to drive larger opportunities.
• Build and maintain trust-based relationships with key decision makers.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with high urgency.
• Communicate proactively with decision makers and influencers.
• Plan daily activities and close business.
