Job summary

BrightView Landscapes, LLC is seeking a driven Tree Care Service Business Developer to manage the regional sales pipeline from prospecting to closing. You will collaborate with operations, finance, marketing, and proposal administration to respond to bids and meet sales targets for tree care services.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of extensive B2B selling experience, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and certifications such as TCIA or Certified Arborist.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• TCIA or Certified Arborist certification required.
• 3–5 years of extensive face-to-face B2B selling.
• Experience in service industry with commercial contract sales desirable.
• Strong multi-tasking across a large territory.
• Proficient with MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Experience with CRM/SFA tools is beneficial.
• Proven track record of achieving sales in longer selling cycles.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, self-directed, high energy.
• Local market knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sell and estimate Tree Care Services work in regional territories.
• Prospect using consultative sales techniques to build relationships, marketing, and pricing.
• Develop Tree Care programs and estimates with Account Managers and Branch Manager for existing clients.
• Conduct heavy phone prospecting, sales presentations, demos, and negotiate contracts with minimum supervision.
• Network to increase new tree care services accounts in assigned markets.
• Achieve sales goals and work independently.
• Log activity in Salesforce.
• Collaborate with internal resources to drive larger sales opportunities.
• Build trust-based relationships with key decision makers.
• Operate in a fast-paced environment with urgency.
• Communicate proactively with decision makers and influencers.
• Plan daily activities, hit benchmarks, and close business.
