Job summary

BrightView Landscapes, LLC is seeking a Tree Care Service (TCS) Business Developer to lead the tree care sales pipeline from prospecting to closing. You will collaborate with operations, finance, marketing and proposal administration to respond to bids and meet sales targets in regional territories.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive, self-motivated leader with excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable with field work and travel, and skilled at building lasting client

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Extensive face-to-face (B2B) selling experience at mid-to-senior levels, 3-5 years.
• Experience in service industry with commercial contract sales desirable.
• Experience managing multiple projects and multitasking across a large territory.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Experience with a CRM/SFA tool is beneficial.
• Proven track record of sales goal attainment in a longer selling cycle.
• Highly competitive, positive, and results-driven salesperson.
• Excellent presentation skills and strong oral/written communication.
• Self-motivation and self-directed, with local knowledge in markets preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sell and estimate Tree Care Services work in regional territories.
• Perform sales prospecting using consultative techniques to build relationships, marketing and pricing.
• Work with Account Managers and Branch Manager to develop Tree Care programs for existing clients.
• Prepare and conduct heavy phone prospecting, sales presentations, and web-ex demonstrations; negotiate contracts with minimal supervision.
• Network to expand penetration for new tree care service accounts.
• Achieve sales goals and work independently.
• Log activity consistently in Salesforce.com.
• Collaborate with internal resources to drive larger tree care sales.
• Build and maintain trust-based relationships with decision makers.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with urgency; plan daily activities and close business.
• Communicate proactively with all decision makers and influencers.
